About Social Norms?
.)A social norm can be defined as the values, rules, and accepted behavioral patterns that a society decides to abide by

.) Someone who breaks social norms are those who choose to go against the society's agreed upon rules (ie someone who commits incest)

.)For the most part, the rules are made by those who hold the most money, and therefore power and influence in the society. Looks usually don't play a role.

.)The morals of a society are governed by the social norms. If we agree that sleeping with one's child is against social norms, then it is therefore immoral (taboo)
