Lost social security card and need to get license in Pennsylvania?

I am a new resident of PA and need to get a drivers license. I lost my social security card, which is required to get my out of state license transferred to a PA license.

Will the DMV accept a print out from the social security office that verifies that I have social security? If not, is there any other document that I could get from the social security office to get a new license?

Put your PA ZIP CODE in the box on the website box below to find the nearest Social Security address and phone number. Call them to learn what they need to issue a replacement.

Since this is a state requirement, the local Social Security office should familiar with what can be done most rapidly to meet your need.

The second link tells you what you may already know about what is needed for a PA license for a new resident of the state.

The third link gives you a way to find the nearest Driver License Center office location and it's hours. They should be able to explain the alternatives.
Reply:yes. you can apply for a new card its not hard. go to the social security admin site and see. do a search.
