My ex-social worker called my support service the other day...?

I have learning difficulties and i am supported by Key Housing Association. My Social worker is retiring and she told MY SUPPORT WORKERS before telling me...I complained about her last month and asked to be treated like an adult which i am and they still insist on SCREWING me over...I'm thinking about taking further action so what do i do? I live in Scotland. all i want is a little respect from social work, i have an advocate a very good one at that but this ex-social worker hasn't done her job from day one

when i meet the new social worker do i

a apporach this situation with an open mind

b go in with my "don't trust anyone" attitude and not let my guard down

c refuse to speak and let my advocate do the talking

d refuse to even see the new social worker.

answer A, B, C or D and then give a reason. NO TIMEWASTERS PLEASE

My ex-social worker called my support service the other day...?
A. Go in with an open mind.

Go in with an open mind and speak politely to your new social worker. I have found that being angry with them because you are being talked down to does not get you anywhere. put your relationship with your ex-social worker out of your mind and focus on a positive relationship with your new one. If you are asked about your relationship with your old social worker, politely say that you were disatisfied with her service and disagreed with her assumptions about you.

If you lack confidence let your advocate speak for you. Be polite, willing to listen and take advice. If you have a problem with the advice they are giving you politely state what you are afraid of. For example a diagnosis of retarded will lead you to state run housing you don't want, or close the door on educational opportunities you do want.

If you are rude, angry and difficult to deal with, this will confirm their worst assumptions about you and your maturity level and prevent you from gaining opportunities you might have wanted.
Reply:b, never trust n e one.
Reply:go with a

all the other answers will adversely affect you
Reply:Judging from this answer, you are perfectly capable of handling your own affairs. I think you are scamming the taxpayers and you are the time and money waster.
Reply:A is my vote. I wouldn't prejudge your new social worker based on the experience with the retiring social worker.
