Social Change?

The events of September 11th have obviously had a major impact on the world, as well as on U.S. society. Looking back over this period of time and drawing upon the resources you have encountered in studying media, the political system, domestic social policies like “homeland security,” foreign policy like the “war on terrorism,” and the social movements that have sprung up since 2001, how do you assess the overall social change in the United States since that pivotal event? What changes do you welcome, and what changes concern you? Do you think citizens can influence the direction of social change?

Social Change?
THE ONE THAT CONCERNS ME IS THAT SO MANY AMERICANS ARE NOW TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH THE DEFEAT OF THEIR OWN COUNTRY FOR POLITICAL GAIN.
Reply:I don't think the "rest of the world" changed as much as you claim from 9/11.

terrorism has been common in most other countries for quite some time. It was only in 2001 that it was brought to US shores in such a significant manner.
