Social Workers?

How do I become a social worker?

How hard is it to become a social worker?

How many years do I have to go to college?

What does a social worker actually do?

What are the types of social work?

Social Workers?
You will need a minimum of a BSW (you can go to www.cswe.org to find which programs in your area offer an accredited degree in social work). A BSW takes 4 years. You may wish to go on for a MSW and with a BSW you can do this in one year (rather than 2)

Social workers do MANY different things depending on the actual area you work in - social workers are involved in clinical work (therapy) at individual, group and family levels, social workers do policy work, community work, administrative/organizational work. They work in hospitals, schools, youth centers, eldercare, and more.

Reply:What you need to do ,if you are serious about becoming a social worker, is contact your local college and make an appointment with a counselor ..... they have all the information you ask for.
