my grandmother died in Sept of 2007.... social security made mistake by entering july 2007.... Family called to fix the date. Social Security mailed a letter 10days later of my grandfather death. So now acording to Social Security my grandparents are dead...one in july other in Sept. Social Security would not help.... If anyone knows how to help us and who do we contact PLEASE email me.... any information will help....

You need a SS attorney that specializes in this.
Reply:take a copy of the death certificate to the SS office. also take your grandfather with you and his birth certificate if he has one or some kind of ID.
Reply:Call your local representative, not the senator from your state the congressman or woman. They have staff that does this all the time.
Reply:there are some real incompetent bastards working at soc sec.
