Social services! trainee social workers!?
In my state, supervised visits between parents and their children are often done by a person that is not a social worker. If there are problems within the household that the person cannot handle, then a social worker could start to do the visits. State laws mandate that a child that has been removed from the home must have a certain amount of visitation with their parent. In order to meet these standards, someone else needs to do the visits because most social workers have huge caseloads.
