Social seuruty card/immigration problems!!!!?

Okay, two of my cousins applied for a green card and social security... But, the US offices messed up everything. Here's what was wrong:





When we recieved thier greencards we noticed that their names were mixed up and, thier alien numbers, along with their photos. Their date of birth was correct. We wrote them a letter informing them of this issue. And, they sent us the correct ones.





Soo, then we applied for a social security number and the social security office told us that because they messed up thier greencards it may take a while for them to recieve their social security numbers. We waited 6 weeks. But, still no social security number or anything. We've tried to call too but, they keep telling us "general information" about social securit.y





What do you think we should do??

Don't call, visit your local Social Security office in person. If that doesn't work visit the local office of your Congressman or one of your two Senators.





You can call your Congressman and Senators by dialing the Capital Hill Switchboard at 202-225-3121. Ask for the one you want by name. Ask the person who answers the phone where the closest local office is to your home. The local office will have case workers who can help you solve the problem.
Reply:6 weeks in not that long. I have had to apply for a copy and waited longer than that. Give it a couple of more weeks and if you have not gotten anything go in person to the SSOffice.
